Every year, Vertex Exchange features a series of Special Interest Groups. The 2016 conference included sessions for our customers in the Retail and Leasing industries, as well as sessions for those running SAP and Oracle R12. Leasing Industry Special Interest Group

What are the biggest tax issues caused by change? How can you manage tax related change? What happens when leased assets move? How do you manage changes in situs? This dedicated, half-day event offers leasing industry tax professionals an opportunity to connect directly with their peers and, together, explore the hot issues affecting tax professionals in the leasing industry. Oracle Financials User Group

Sunday, October 30 | 4:00 PM – 4:50 PM
Targeted at current Vertex® Indirect Tax O Series® and Vertex® Sales Tax Q Series® customers who are planning an upgrade, this session will allow you to network with peers during a meet & greet session on Sunday evening immediately preceding the Vertex Exchange Welcome Gathering. During this meeting, the Vertex team will share tips on how to get the most out of Exchange by reviewing the various sessions that will be presented by Vertex resources and alliance partner resources throughout the conference. These sessions will cover topics related to best practices pertinent to Oracle R12 and Vertex O Series implementations as well as Vertex's plans for the rollout of Oracle ERP Cloud. During Vertex Exchange, you'll have several opportunities to engage with Vertex Consulting and other implementation partners to learn how to troubleshoot common issues facing Oracle clients.


Retail Industry Special Interest Group

For retail businesses, managing the complexity of jurisdictional regulations in an omni-channel environment can be overwhelming and risky. Get a handle on it all by attending this session, back by popular demand. Facilitated by Vertex experts, this engagement is typically led by key Retailers and will cover industry trends and drivers in retail, tax management strategies for retail, and best practices for leveraging automation to meet retail-specific needs. You'll also have substantial opportunities for peer networking and informal conversations, as well as an opportunity to provide input into the future direction of Vertex solutions for retail. SAP Special Interest Group

Tuesday, November 1 | 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM
The SAP Special Interest Group (SIG) is designed to provide a forum for exchange of information between Vertex/SAP customers, alliance partners and employees. With over 650 Vertex customers on SAP solutions, there is a wealth of experience and insight that can be leveraged across our customer community. Vertex will facilitate this half-day SIG forum on topics such as the Vertex Indirect Tax Accelerator for SAP ERP, approaches for international tax, upgrade considerations, and customer case studies.
